Last week my sister called my daughter with a surprise -- she was going to give her her b'day present early -- about 2 1/2 months early! Turns out, much to everyone's surprise, the Lipizzaner Stallions were going to be performing here in our lovely little town, and knowing how much my daughter loves animals, she wanted to take her and a friend to see them. Callie was SO excited! Then the tornado hit. The show was to take place the next evening, but everyone feared it would be cancelled, as the stadium did receive damage from the twister. Luckily, though, instead of cancelling it, they just postponed it, and it was held last night. My daughter took her best friend with her, and they had a FABULOUS time! She was so excited when she got home that she could hardly stop talking! LOL I'm so glad she had the opportunity to see something so special. :) So, if The World Famous Lipizzaner Stallions come to an area near you, go see them! After all, they come highly recommended by my daughter. *wink*
I bet I was Callie's age when my stepmother took me to see them. It was the first of its kind I had ever seen and it was mesmerizing! They are such gorgeous animals with such a noble and adventurous history.
I'm so happy she went and had such a mah-velous time!

Really, Leslie? How cool! I'm going to be sure and tell Callie that. She'll think that's neat. :)

Gosh, I remember seeing them when I was younger -- they were so awesome! I LOVED horses (still do), and the way they pranced around was just so beautiful. I'm so glad she had such a great time!
