Oh man, you guys should see this Colorado sky today! It's one of the brightest blues I've ever seen! :)

I'm not a particularly "crafty" person, per say. I'm artsy, not crafty, so that is why I appreciate creative and imaginative thinking when I see it, and why, when driving the other day, I had to slow down and take a better look when going past a certain house.

The city crews have been painting all the fire hydrants in town; a very pretty, albeit bright, red-orange. The color is actually quite appealing, but if you're a homeowner living on a corner and the hydrant is right there in your yard, it can be somewhat of an eyesore, not to mention difficult to mow around. That's why this one house caught my eye. They took their eyesore and did something with it -- they created a rock garden around it! :) The garden was created in such a way that the fire dept. can still get to the hydrant without obstruction, but designed to make it look like an integral part of the garden itself. Now that's creative! Call me crazy, but I think that's cool. ;)
