Have you had any problems pinging weblogs.com? I have, and it was really starting to frustrate me. After all, if you can't ping them, then your blog isn't showing as updated on others' blogrolls when you update. Well guess what I found out? I found out that we can ping blogrolling.com directly!

It's very simple. For MT users, go to Weblog Config, then go to Preferences; scroll down to Publicity / Remote Interfaces / TrackBack, and in the box marked "other", enter this URL: http://rpc.blogrolling.com/pinger/. Save and rebuild. That's it - you're all set! I still ping weblogs.com, too, though. Might as well make sure, eh? ;)

I had to end up pinging blogrolling.com directly too. My MT was giving me annoying error messages almost every entry that tried to ping weblogs.com.

I haven't been able to ping blo.gs ever since I switched to MT. I haven't had any problems pinging weblogs.com, though.
