Question #5
Okay, we have another question! (yay!) Brandy says: I'm a sucker for stories about how couples meet, so would you mind sharing how you and your husband met? When did you know you wanted to marry him?

I'm really glad you asked this question, Brandy. :) Well, 22 years ago, my friend, Kathy, and I went out one evening to a club here in town. We arrived and took a table and were sitting there minding our own business and listening to the band .. lol .. when a guy walked up to me and said, "My friend is too shy to come over here, so he asked me to come see if you'd like to dance with him." I said, "If your friend wants to dance with me, he'll have to ask me himself." lol Now, I should probably insert here that this guy was a bit toasted. lol When he walked away, I looked at Kathy and said, "I'm so sure!" lol She looked and me and said, "Isn't that Ed Marin's brother?"
"Is it?", I replied.
"Yes, I'm sure it is", she said.
Well, that really piqued my curiosity, because I was very good friends with Ed. He was a year younger than I, and he and his best friend, Scott, had become really good buds during my Senior year in High School. So I was thinking, "Hmmm ... if he's Ed's brother, he can't be too bad!" lol At that moment, the guy came back over and said, "My friend's just too shy to come over here, so I guess you're stuck with me!", and with that he grabbed my hand and pulled me to the dance floor! lol That's when we introduced ourselves to each other, and I found out that he was, indeed, Ed's brother. When I told him who I was, he said, "Oh man, I know who you are!" I didn't believe him -- I thought he was just feeding me a line to hook me, ya' know? ;) And I told him so! lol But he insisted! So I told him he would have to prove it. That's when he began rattling off all this stuff about me! I was so shocked! I asked him how he knew that, and he told me it was because of listening to Ed talk about me. He said he'd seen my picture and everything, and totally felt like he already knew me. :)
Well, we ended up spending the evening dancing and talking and getting to know each other better, and then he asked me out for the following weekend. :) The rest, as they say, is history. :)
I knew I wanted to marry him maybe a couple of months into the relationship. I absolutely KNEW he was meant for me! Back then, though, he really kept his emotions in check, and it was very difficult for him to even talk about being in love, let alone say it! lol But I knew. ;) Well, we dated for a year and then got married. And now? Now he tells me he loves me all the time, every day! :) I just thought it was kind of amazing that we would end up together when I was such good friends with his brother first! :)
