We had a big ol' thunderstorm roll through here last night around 9:00. I knew it was headed this way from all the storm warnings which had gone out for the counties next to us. At least there wasn't a tornado warning this time. I was really relieved, cuz I hate it when that happens after nightfall. It's scary not being able to see what's coming your way. ANYway, what started out as a typical severe thunderstorm turned into something rather fun!
The lightning was continuous (heat lightning) and blinding; the wind was blowing like crazy; then came the rain and hail. It rained so hard you could hardly see anything outside. I was sitting on my porch the whole time, of course. ;) I didn't wanna miss the awesome display of lightning going on! Oh, and the power went out AGAIN! When the rain let up, my cell rang and it was my sister. She said she was going to go drive by Mom's to make sure her power wasn't out, as well. We knew that if it was, she would be pretty scared. I told her I would go with her. My Sis lives right behind us, so it didn't take her long to pull up to the curb in front of the house, and when I walked out she hollered to me that the water was way up over the curb and I was going to have to walk through it. "Okay" I said -- no biggie. Now, the fact that she had rolled down the window is an important fact in my story. ;)

Thats great! Tornado warnings are scary! We have had one at work and there is no PA system (some security thing, the security guys can't even wear their walkie talkies in certain buildings cause they are "transmitting devices") so noone knows except by word of mouth and there is no windows in those buildings and computers don't hook up to the internet so noone knows whats going on.

YUCK!!! That is REALLY dirty water, ya know! Glad you could laugh about it... what else is there to do about it?
