Bummin'

I'm bummed.

Hubby was on vacation all last week, and it was really great having him home every day. He goes back to work tomorrow.

I'm also bummed because I've only raised $70 for the charity I'm blogging for in the Blogathon. Don't get me wrong, I am extremely grateful to those of you who have sponsored me! But I set my goal at $500 because their web site says "a gift of $500 can pay one month's rent". I thought if I could raise enough to pay for a month's rent for a woman unable to work and going through the hell of breast cancer treatment, staying her anxiety over whether or not she was going to have a place to live for one month, well .... I thought it would be a really great thing. So .... I guess I will beg some more. Please, if you can help by giving even $5, I would be enormously grateful! Just click here to sponsor me. It's painless, really. It'll be the best $5 you've spent in a long time! And remember, you don't have to pay by credit card -- you can send your donation in by snail mail, too!

Thoughts from others

I wish I could afford more, Leigh, but... things would have been better a few years ago, when Kevin was making what he's making in a week now, in one day... 9/11 really messed us up... downsizing is a -itch, ya know?

I know what you mean. I'm feeling a bit down about the amount I've raised so far as well, but I'm just doing the best I can to spread the word. I never really thought I'd raise much, so you'd think I'd be thrilled with $70, but once I got a sponsor, I wanted more.

Good luck in reaching your goal, Leigh! If...I mean, "when" my lotto numbers come up, I'll be back with the big bucks! ;) Seriously though, all the best dear lady!
