Hey, today is May Day, huh! :) Please don't tell me I'm the only one who remembers celebrating May Day. *looking around for a show of hands*
I'm probably really dating myself here, aren't I. But I used to love May Day so much! Making up all those little baskets full of candy and leaving them at the front door of my friends, then knocking and running away. And of course, if they caught you they could kiss you -- unless it was a boy -- they pinched! Ouch! lol
We also always did the Maypole dance at school. Do any of you remember dancing around the Maypole?? Oh geez .... you're all probably sitting there reading this and thinking "what in the hell is she talking about???" LOL!
I'm just talking about simple pleasures and treasured memories. :)

I love this layout! I'm going to be celebrating May Day today actually! Without the May pole, but I baked an applepie :) Thanks for your comment on my blog, miraculously, things have solved themselves now. I didn't disconnect after all...

well leigh, i can't say i recall doing anything celebratory on may day, but if it involves baking than sign me up!

Yup I remember May day. We never actually had a maypole but leaving little baskets with a few flowers or a little candy on peoples doorstep and ringing the bell and running. It was way too much fun!
