Have you ever paid attention to the sound of seasons?

They each have their own distinct sounds, but I love Spring/Summer the best! A concert of birdsong every morning; lawn mowers; children playing; crickets chirping; toads croaking after a big rain; insects buzzing about; sprinklers sprinkling; motorcycles; thunder and rain (my personal favorite) -- the list goes on and on. I totally love to sit outside, close my eyes and listen to Spring & Summer; or lie in bed early in the morning, listening to nature's call to a new day. Ahhhhhh :)

So ... when was the last time you listened to the seasons?

this is a downfall of living in southern california...there are not 4 defining seasons. however, spring is strong around here and i love it!

I went for my daily walk after reading this entry, and while listening to the sounds of nature...birds singing, frogs croaking etc, a brand new haiku just popped out!! :)))) Thanks for the inspiration Leigh!!! Hope you like.
