A New Baby!

Oh. My gosh! I am SO excited! Guess where I'm going on Sunday! Whoa, whoa, let me back up a little bit.

Remember a few days ago when I was going to get that little puppy, but the bad lady friend of the nice doggie lady had already given it away? Well, the nice doggie lady has been turning all the animal shelters upside down to find another puppy, but to no avail. There aren't any. Soooo ... I had been doing a lot of thinking recently and remembered how much I have always wanted a Yorkie (Yorkshire Terrier), so I started searching all over the net for a reputable breeder in my area. Found zilch. So, kind of as a last resort, I called our local pet shop and asked if she knew of any. She had a breeders directory, so looked to see if she could find any for me. She found one in a small town only 90 minutes from here! So of course I called her. At this time she has one little 7 week old baby boy available, and 3 little 7 week old Yorkie/Bischon mixes. They'll all be ready to find their wonderful new homes in a week! So we're going there on Sunday to meet them!!!! I'm SO EXCITED!!!! I get to pick out my new baby!!! These precious little dogs only weigh 7 pounds when full-grown. How cute is that!!

I'm going to try to remember my digital so I can take pics and show you guys!! :)

Oh yeah, I almost forgot (shame on me!) -- Hubby and I have a brand new nephew! Dylan Michael was born this morning, and weighed in at 7lbs. 12oz. He is welcomed into the family by his 2 older sisters and, of course, his very happy Mommy (Hubby's sister) and Daddy.

That's just GREAT, Leigh!!! :))) I'm so happy you're getting that baby you've been longing for.And soooo cute. I was watching one of our local lifestyle shows on telly Friday night and Don Burke was talking about a new breed of dog. Crossed between a Cavalier (King charles- I think) spaniel and a miniature poodle. What a cute little puppy is that Cavoodle (lol) but what's even more gorgeous is that tiny Cavalier Spaniel. One day I'm gonna get me one of dem. LOL
Have a WONDERFUL day tomorrow. I bet you won't sleep a wink all night tonight. And CONGRATS on the new nephew. :)))Let me know as soon as you've chosen your new baby's name, okay!

oh, leigh- lillyanne has a point- about the bichon's being alot of work...

my sister's can't stand to be left alone. seriously, he's so neurotic about being alone that she avoids leaving him completely!

hey there,

well i stumbled across this site and had no idea wat it was, i read, i understand. right now i'm looking to buy a cavoodle and i'm lookin on da net! k,

congrats and all dat.

I too was searching for Cavoodle info and found this site. It is so neat. I have a cute little Jack Russell pup on my knees but I am allergic to him. I have had him for 1 week and have had full on hayfever sadly. I hear poodle and bichon pures or crosses are good for allergy suffers.
Good luck with your new puppy. My experience has not been straight forward but I am staying positive and seeing it as a learning curve.

My daughter just got a Yorkie and he is sooo cute. After 30 yrs of marriage and 4 children, my husband has decided that we could get a bichon/yorkie mix. He's allergic to most dogs. Does anyone know where we could get one. We live in the DFW area.

I was so happy to see the large interest in Bichon/Yorkie mixes. I have been fortunate to have one of my own. Unfortunately I am moving into a new apartment where pets are not allowed and Cammie must go to a new home. If anyone is interested in this very loving 16 month old bichon/yorkie please e-mail me for pictures. I live in the Bryan/College Station area in Texas.

You talk in this page of Bischon/Yorkie puppies and we have been looking really hard to find a breeders here in the states. I was wondering if you could help me find someone who breeds these dogs or give me the number to the lady who has three of the bischon yorkie puppies. Thanks Timmy

Hi! I don't really know this website but I was wondering if you could tell me the name of the Bichon/Yorkie breeder. I'm just looking for a dog and I was hoping you could be of some assistence. Sorry if I bothered you!

I too have been searching for a bichon/yorkie breeder in the States. Any info would be greatly appreciated!!!

Those of you looking for Bichon/Yorkie mixes, could you please forward me names of breeders. I too am looking for one. My rotweiller passed away a little over a year ago and I really miss having a dog around. Even though my husband has allergies, he suffered through them for 10 years and was very attached to her. We have heard that Bichon/Yorkies are good for allergy sufferers and would seriously like to find one. We live in Canada, but are willing to have it shipped.

I have been searching as well for a bischon/yorkie mix. I suffer from allergies and my children love dogs. I found a breeder in Sweeden but shipping is higher than I can pay. Could you please forward the name of breeders as well. Thank you!

I too am searchng high and low for a Bichon/Yorkie. I really wanted a Bichon Frise but read about how much work they can be and realized it would not be complatible with my working life. The Borkies (or Yorkie-chons) are SOOOO cute and combine the best of both breeds! There is one for adoption on petfinder.com but she lives in Michegan and they aren't willing to ship! :(
anyway, if anyone has had any success PLEASE let me know! It doesn't have to be a puppy, I am VERY willing to "rescue" an older dog.

looking for a bichon-yorkie mix in Kentucky...can anyone send me a list of breeders. Would deeply appreciate.
Thanks Vickie

I, too, am looking for a Bichon/Yorkie mix. I never thought a mix breed would be so popular. Or so expensive. I'm willing to pay what I must for the unconditional love of a little companion. I found a website that is based in Missouri that will ship anywhere. Does anyone know their reputation? The woman's name is Lucy. Are the bichon/yorkies good with kids? I have two, 5 and 2.

I'm interested in finding bishon/yorkie breeders near Dallas/Fort Worth, TX. Any help will be much appreciated!

Also, any knowledge of their behavior when left alone during working hours would also be helpful.

Thanks!

My family is also seeking a bichon/yorkie mix and have had no luck in finding a breeder. We live in California. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

I have a yorkie bishon mix, he just turned 1 in October. He weighs 11 lbs even though our breeder told us he'd only get up to 7 lbs. So don't believe them if they tell you the same. Aside from that we love our Fender, he's so loving and feisty. He loves playing with other dogs and kids.

Hi! FYI - I have a family pet registered female bichon that was just bred with my sister's registered male yorkie. As you are probably aware, they ARE hypoallergenic and do not shed. If you would be interested in being placed on the waiting list, please feel free to contact me at akuhns76@yahoo.com. They are both adorable and are well taken care of...Thanks
