Just when we, as a country, need some good news, we actually get some! 
As most of you probably already know, Elizabeth Smart has been found -- ALIVE!!! Kidnapped at gunpoint from her bedroom 9 months ago, Elizabeth was assumed dead by most people. I heard on MSNBC that this is the first time in our country's history that a kidnapped child has been found alive so long after the abduction.
She has been reunited with her family, and is said to be in good spirits. When found, she had been made to wear a wig and strange blue clothes which covered her face, almost like a veil. Of course, it will be a while before any details are known as to what she has gone through these last 9 months, but for now she and her family and friends are rejoicing! I saw some footage on TV shot from a helicopter of the Smart neighborhood -- oh man, talk about a party!! 
To quote Elizabeth's father, "MIRACLES DO EXIST".
Absolutely! And thank God for it!

Truly amazing! I am delighted, but not nearly as much as her family I am sure. It's great to hear some "good news" for a change. Just remember, there is ALWAYS hope, when everything else runs out!
