Well ... another day. I still feel on edge. For what reason, I have no idea. Yesterday and last night were especially bad. Very short-tempered and very little patience, which is odd for me since starting on Paxil. One thing for sure is that it has certainly evened-out my mood swings. I keep trying to figure out what's with this feeling, but every time I think I've discovered its cause and take care of it, the feeling remains. Oh, well .... it will take care of itself in time, I'm sure.

On a lighter note, I received a telephone call from my mother-in-law today. She's great. :smile Both of my parents-in-law are. Well, anyway, I feel I should preface this story with a little background info:

My husband is one of seven children. He grew up on a farm, where his parents still live. His father continues to farm, despite saying every year that he's had it with all that. :wink They are extremely down-to-earth, old-fashioned folks. They raised all the kids in a strict Catholic home. They had the 4 boys first, then came the 3 girls. As the boys grew up and became old enough to drive, Dad would complain endlessly about them saving their money for "newer" cars. He could see no reason on earth why they didn't spend less and get a good used car. Well, as the years have passed, my father-in-law has .... shall we say, mellowed? :wink My hubby thinks it is highly unfair that as time went by, the girls were allowed to do much more than the boys ever were! :lol Anyway, over the past several years, Dad has been buying new pickups. Not newer used ones -- brand spankin' new ones! Hubby just shakes his head in disbelief. lol

So, the phone call today .....

I was amazed when my 82-year-old grandmother suddenly decided to try out the internet after my grandfather passed away. I think she decided that she wanted more ways to keep in touch with her loved ones. She's now my most regular email correspondent. We still speak by phone weekly as we always have, but these daily emails are very special too. I print them out and keep them in a notebook so that I can share her with my own children some day.

Good for your mother-in-law for wanting to learn and good for you for helping her out. I was totally surprised when about 3 yrs ago my mom got a computer. I try to help her and my step-dad whenever I can. Your never too old to learn new things even though it might be scary at first. I hope you have a good day. Be Well...

A very similar thing happened to me. I first bought my father a computer and he only played a few games. After awhile, he was cataloging all of his records, then he started with graphics and designs. After he passed away, my mom...who always said "I don't do computers" was finally convinced to try. Today, she sends email, buys on-line, checks stocks...and CAN'T figure out, just HOW she could get along WITHOUT a computer!
