Why don't kids ever listen to their parents? Why do they think that just because they're all grown up their parents don't still know what is good for them -- and what isn't? It's sooo frustrating! And sometimes .... heartbreaking. All we want to do as parents is impart the knowledge and insights we've gained through OUR mistakes so that they don't have to go through the same things. Why don't they listen??

because they cant learn from us... they know it all:)
i remember those times, no one could have told me different..often still *lol* no one can tell me differnt...
i think it is one of the hardest things as a parent is to sit by and watch...
all we can really do is simply love them, and be there for them when they need us, and remind them..theya re loved no matter the mistakes they make

Its odd how all the things my parents told me not to do - ie: smoking, I do - whereas they let me drink alcohol from an early age and it holds little interest to me - rebellion I suppose is the reason.

i love you hon, i am here....
Why?? Perhaps it's because just like us, they too, have to learn from their mistakes. After all, aren't we adults still living and learning?
I know...it hurts more to see our kids hurting.
((((((hugs))))))
